Hello 2019!

Wow, another year has come and gone. Where does the time go? Also, where does Time itself go? I've never thought about that before.

I know this is my 3rd post today since I slacked off a bit the last couple of months, but I still wanted to remember those months in a post of their own.

2018 went by so fast and I did so many things that I forgot to check in with myself. That's why my resolution for 2019 is to keep myself healthy and to remember to check in with myself periodically and ask myself how I'm doing from time to time.

First, keeping healthy. I have been plagued by headaches pretty much all of my life and I think I finally found the reason: sugar. I noticed late last year that when I eat too much sugar I almost instantly get a headache (even one cupcake will do it). Which is why in 2019 I want to watch my sugar intake more closely to avoid having so many headaches. Also, I want to keep up with my running. I did a good job last year with running consistently and I want to continue that in 2019. Running is one of my most favorite things to do and helps keep my head clear - I want to feed that habit.

Second, checking in with myself. I lived last year pretty fast that sometimes I wouldn't really reflect on how I'm doing or feeling. I downloaded an app called Daylio which asks for your mood a few times per day and tracks how you're feeling. It's a really neat idea and I want to try it out this year. I started using it today and that simple question of "how're you feeling?" along with 5 multiple choice responses has already made me slow down and reflect a bit.

Lastly, I want to publish an app - that is my ultimate goal for 2019. I'm looking forward to what the new year brings!
