Hello 2019!

Image
Wow, another year has come and gone. Where does the time go? Also, where does Time itself go? I've never thought about that before. I know this is my 3rd post today since I slacked off a bit the last couple of months, but I still wanted to remember those months in a post of their own. 2018 went by so fast and I did so many things that I forgot to check in with myself. That's why my resolution for 2019 is to keep myself healthy and to remember to check in with myself periodically and ask myself how I'm doing from time to time. First, keeping healthy. I have been plagued by headaches pretty much all of my life and I think I finally found the reason: sugar. I noticed late last year that when I eat too much sugar I almost instantly get a headache (even one cupcake will do it). Which is why in 2019 I want to watch my sugar intake more closely to avoid having so many headaches. Also, I want to keep up with my running. I did a good job last year with running con

2018 Holidays

The 2018 Holidays were nice because they were filled with FIRSTS. 1. This was mine and Judy's first Christmas in our apartment together (that's our tree up above). We decorated the whole apartment with lights and ribbons and other Christmas-y stuff. We had a tree with some gifts under that really tied the apartment together. I like the Christmas lights lighting so much for movie watching I might have to leave them up a bit longer :) 2. My family played White Elephant for the first time ever this year. This was super fun because usually we just buy gifts for each other (which is great of course), but we wanted to make things a little bit different. Everyone really enjoyed getting mysterious gifts. I think next year we're going to try Secret Santa instead so we can give more personalized gifts :) 3. I spent Christmas evening with Judy's family. This was my 8th Christmas with Judy, but my 1st Christmas with her family. First we went to her uncle's house where w

How Was Colombia?

Colombia was awesome! I arrived in Bogota one day after Sathya and Srini. The first night we had a fun night with the neighbors. We did some sight seeing and eating in Bogota over the next few days. The photo above was taken at Monserrate in Bogota which is a mountain that many people visit for a spiritual experience. After Bogota we went to MedellĂn which was amazing! We went to an Italian restaurant on our first night and it was probably the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to (spaghetti of course). During the days we visited a couple of museums and a bunch of restaurants. At night we went to some bars and clubs which were super fun too. We had an interesting interaction with the local police on our last day, but it didn't sour our experience at all. I loved visiting Colombia and will hopefully visit again!
